How to Use Data Search Tool
Procedure
- Click the ESA Tools (Red Hammer).
- From the ESA Tools dialog box, choose
Data Search Tool.
- Under Select Datasets to Search"
there are two options:
- All
Datasets - search for data in all datasets.
- Select
Datasets - search for data in specific datasets.
- For now, we choose "All Datasets."
- Type in the data you would like to search
for.
- Lets type in "block"
- There are two search options:
- Search
Column Names: search for data using just the column names.
- Search
Data Values: search for data within the table. This search option
takes longer to complete.
- 8. For now, choose "Search Column
Names" search option.
- 9. Wait for the program to complete
searching and click OK to close the dialog box.
- 10. Under Results, you will see
a list of all datasets containing the searched data.
- 11. Choose the datasets you would like
to map and click "Add Selected Datasets to Map."
- 12. Click Close to close the
dialog box
- 13. All selected datasets have been
mapped
