How to Add XY Data to the map

(source in lat/lon)

1. Click on the Tools menu.
2. From the Tools menu, select Add XY Data.
3. From the Add XY Data dialog box, navigate to the location of the XY data you would like to map.
4. Specific the X and Y fields from the X and Y drop-downs.
5. Click OK to add the XY data to the map.
   

In the example provided, a .dbf containing X and Y well locations is added to the map as points.
