How to Restrict the Data Frame to a Selected Feature

1. Click on the Selection tool to select a feature to use to restrict your data frame.
2. We will restrict the data frame to a selected MMS Area for this example.
3. Click in a MMS Area once to select the area.
4. From the View menu, select Data Frame Properties.
5. Click on the Data Frame tab.
6. In the Clip to Shape area, check the box next to Enable and click Specify Shape.
7. From the Data Frame Clipping dialog box, ensure Outline of Features is selected.
8. From the Layer drop-down, select MMS Areas.
9. From the Features drop-down, choose Selected.
10. Click OK to close the Data Frame Clipping dialog box.
11. Click Apply and OK to apply the Data Frame restriction.
12. The Data Frame is restricted to the selected MMS Area.
