Consulting

Most of ESA’s consulting practice is targeted at providing support for our GOM³ users. This includes participation in client’s studies in which GOM³ is a basic tool and integration of proprietary data or data from other vendors with the information and tools in GOM³. We have developed specific tools for clients and helped them re-organize their own data to improve the efficiency of analysis and management. We have also shared our extensive GIS experience with clients moving to enterprise applications of GIS across corporate units outside the Gulf of Mexico .  

In addition to GIS support for GOM³, ESA conducts a limited consulting practice in areas related to quantitative analysis of geoscience, engineering and economic problems. These include resource assessment (e.g., assisting the MMS in the national assessment of natural gas hydrates); company technical performance analysis (e.g., field management performance of major Russian oil companies); hydrocarbon supply modeling (e.g., a flexible oil forecasting model for non-OPEC production) and problems of mathematical and engineering geology (e.g., comparative return to horizontal completions by formation and well orientation).

In order to retain our focus of support for GOM³ and its user community, ESA’s consulting practice is limited to our GOM³ clients.
