GOM3 News - April 2024

Annual User Conference Presentations

The 15th Annual User Conference was held earlier this month in Houston. Presentations are available at the User Conference page.

We are grateful to Woodside for hosting this year. Thank you to all who attended for the great feedback and suggestions. There are many additions and changes this year that are worth checking out, such as the integration of the high-end Analytics and the online 3D Field Viewer (as shown below). Contact Tony Dupont at tony@earthsci.com for more details.

New Options When Loading Leases in ArcGIS Pro

For the first time, GOM3 has an option to choose multiple companies and load leases where those companies are partners in a lease. This includes operating rights interests as well, which has been available when loading data by owner for many years. These changes should give more flexibility and detail when loading leases.

This style of change only applies to Current Leases so far, but will be coming to Past Leases soon. The primary motivation of this change is to set up the data to be loaded and updated over the web. Keep an eye out for those changes coming soon.

GOMsmart Webinar

For those interested in a very quick way to access loads of GOM information with nothing more than a web browser (even a smartphone's browser), the next GOMsmart webinar will be held Tuesday, June 4th at 1:00 PM CDT. This webinar will go over how the data is put together and processed and is a good way to check out parts of GOMsmart that you may not be currently using, including the new 3D Field Viewer.

Register for the webinar here. Feel free to pass this along to colleagues in your office who may be new to GOMsmart.
