GOM3 Update - January 2023

14th Annual User Conference

The 14th Annual User Conference is coming March 2nd, 2023 at Murphy's offices in west Houston: Registration is now available here.

The conference is intended for geologists, geophysicists, engineers, land specialists, GIS professionals/techs, and managers. The exchange of ideas and directions for our future development are still the top priority of the conference. Like past conferences, this event will present details about improvements from the past year and a look at future plans. It will also showcase some of the huge additions available since the last conference, particularly 3D seismic in ArcGIS, 3D well logs along boreholes, drilling analytics and forecasts and online well log displays. The conference will feature the introduction of Shazam, a revolutionary analysis to identify pay vs. dry in digital logs automatically.

GOMsmart Webinar

For those interested in learning the quickest way to access loads of GOM information with nothing more than a web browser (even a smartphone's browser), the next GOMsmart webinar will be held Thursday, February 9th at 1:00 PM CST.

This webinar will go over how the data is put together and processed and is a good way to check out parts of GOMsmart that you may not be currently using. It will also provide a chance to ask questions and offer suggestions. Registration is now available here. Feel free to pass this along to colleagues in your office who may be new to GOMsmart.
